Visiting Saint Francis
Cafeteria
Saint Francis Medical Center Cafeteria is located just inside the Main Entrance and is open seven days a week, 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Vending machines are available in the cafeteria 24 hours a day. Weekly Menu
The Memorial Health Center Cafeteria is open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m., and on Fridays, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. The Memorial Health Center Cafeteria is not open on weekends.
Patient Room Service is available for all patients and visitors (there is a charge for visitors room service). First call will be taken at 6:30 a.m. and the last call will be taken at 7 p.m.
Chapel
Our beautiful Chapel is available to all patients, families and visitors and are encouraged to visit the Chapel anytime, day or night. Catholic Mass is celebrated in the Chapel every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. and can be viewed in patient rooms on Channel 19. Stop at the Information Desk for directions to the Chapel.
Computers and Cell Phones
Saint Francis Medical Center offers free wireless internet access called "SFMC Public." Laptops can be checked out to visitors 18 years or older with a valid driver's license at the Main ACC located at our main facility or at Skilled located at our Memorial Health Center Building. Cell phones can be used throughout the hospital except in places where electronic monitoring is used.
Guest House
The Saint Francis Guest House offers an inexpensive alternative to a hotel when you're far away from home. The Guest House offers quiet comfortable rooms as well as a library, commons area and patio.
The Guest House is ideal for family members of hospital patients. It is also convenient for patients scheduled for early morning tests or procedures. All outpatients are welcome to stay while they are involved in treatment or rehabilitation.
Guests may check into the Guest House at either the Outpatient Admissions Department located on the northeast side of the hospital just inside the Patient Entrance or at the Inpatient Admissions Department located just inside the main entrance.
Payment for your stay is due at the time you check in. You may pay by cash, check, MasterCard, Visa or Discover. Call (308) 398-5395 for Guest House rates.
Parking
Visitors should park in the main parking lot. The parking area is located directly outside the Main Entrance.
Several patient parking areas are available and are located close to the related patient services. Please see the map for parking areas, entrances and directions.

Pastoral Services
The Pastoral Services team offers spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, friends and staff of all faiths 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Chaplains provide patient visits, counseling, crisis care, administration of the Sacraments upon request, blessed rosaries, chapel and memorial services. To reach a chaplain within the hospital, dial zero and ask that a chaplain be called for you. From outside the hospital, call (308) 384-4600 and ask the switchboard operator to contact a chaplain.
Tobacco-Free Environment
Smoking or any type of tobacco use is prohibited in all buildings, grounds and parking areas.
Vending Machines
At Saint Francis Medical Center, vending machines offering snacks and beverages are located:
- Just inside the Main Entrance by the cafeteria
- On each floor, near elevators
- Across from the Outpatient Surgery waiting area
- In the Emergency Department waiting area
At Memorial Health Center, vending machines are available on the lower level across from the elevator.
Visiting Hours
Loved ones play an important role in the healing process. At Saint Francis Medical Center, we welcome our patients' families and friends 24 hours a day as long as the patient's condition allows.
An adult must accompany all children who visit the hospital. Please check with the patient's nurse before bringing children into the patient's room. Visitors arriving after 6 p.m. are asked to check in at the Information Desk.
