MEDICAL ONCOLOGISTS and CLINICAL NURSE PRACTITIONERS
Medical oncology is the area of cancer dedicated to treating cancer patients by using medications taken by mouth or by injection, including chemotherapy. Medical oncologists work with surgeons and radiation oncologists to tailor the best treatment plan possible for each cancer patient. Clinical Nurse Practitioners work closely with our medical oncologists and may see pateints during their visits.

PHARMACIST
Our on site pharmacy department is responsible for preparing all chemotherapy to be administered by injection. Clinical pharmacists are available to answer specific questions regarding chemotherapy regimens or side effects that may occur during the course of treatment.

RADIATION ONCOLOGISTS
A radiation oncologist is a doctor who specializes in using radiation therapy to treat cancer. This treatment is used to destroy any cancer cells in the area being irradiated. The radiation therapy equipment at the Cancer Treatment Center allows us to protect healthy tissue while delivering targeted radiation to the tumor. The procedure itself is painless.

RADIATION THERAPISTS
A radiation therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatments prescribed by the radiation oncologist. All radiation therapists on staff are registered with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and have over 30 years of combined experience. The equipment available at the Cancer Treatment Center allows people to get the treatment they need without having to leave town. Radiation therapists will be available to monitor your treatment progress and help answer any questions you have about your radiation treatment.
